Cast iron post by the A684, in parish of GARSDALE (SOUTH LAKELAND District), New County Boundary West of Moorcock Inn, under railway viaduct, just East of boundary marker, on North side of road. Bedale HD iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : {pointing hand} / SEDBERGH / 10 / MILES : : {pointing hand} / ASKRIGG / 10 / MILES : : F MATTISON & Co / BEDALE : Grade II Listed. List Entry Number: 1131993 Milestone Society National ID: YN_AKSB10M.
