Stone post (plate lost) by the A495, in parish of ELLESMERE RURAL (NORTH SHROPSHIRE District), West of Newnes Brook; East of Ellesmere Business Park roundabout, on embankment, on North side of road. Erected by the Ellesmere to Oswestry turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription once read:- (Ellesmere 1) (Oswestry 7) Shropshire HER listed.
