Cast iron post by the A53, in parish of LOGGERHEADS (NEWCASTLE UNDER LYME District), Loggerheads, on grass verge in front of hedge, on South side of road. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Now in front of modern fire station. Inscription reads:- : MARKET - / DRAYTON 4 : : BLORE : : ASHLEY 1½ / WHITMORE 5¾ / ECCLESHALL 7½ / NEWCASTLE 10 / STAFFORD : Maker:- : Chas. Lathe, Tipton. : Grade II listed.
