Cast iron post by the A458, in parish of HARLEY (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), just before Harley sign, by the road, at the back of wide grass verge. Erected by the Shrewsbury to Bridgnorth turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SALOP 10 / (vertical) TO THE COUNTY HALL : : WENLOCK / 2½ : : B.NORTH / 10½ / (vertical) TO THE TOWN HALL : Shropshire HER listed.
