Carved stone post by the A217, in parish of Tadworth (REIGATE AND BANSTEAD District), Brighton Road, near Tadworth Court, in thorny hedge (nearly invisible from road), on West side of road. Surrey limestone pillar, erected by the Reigate turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : LONDON / 16 / MILES : : BRIGHTON / 35⅜ / MILES : Carved benchmark on Brighton side. Milestone Society National ID: SY_LQR16.
