Carved stone post by the A283, (re-cut or replica?) in parish of CHIDDINGFOLD (WAVERLEY District), Petworth Road, South of the Green, just before School sign, on well cut grass, in side of ditch between footpath and hedge, on North West side of road. Petworth stone, erected by the Petworth turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- HYDE PARK CORNER 38 MILES PETWORTH 9 MILES GODALMING 6 MILES CHIDDINGFOLD Grade II listed.
