Carved stone post by the B6113, in parish of RIPPONDEN (CALDERDALE District), Greetland Road: 100m to South West of Sandy Clough, on the verge nearly opposite Crest sign, on South side of road. Erected by the Rochdale to Halifax & Elland turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / ROCHDALE / 12 / Miles : : TO / ELLAND / 3½ / Miles : Grade II listed.
