Cast iron post by the B1410, in parish of AISLABY (SCARBOROUGH District), Briggswath by bus stop; 100m West of 'pinch' at East end of village, on verge, on South side of road. Bedale rose iron casting, erected by the District Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : PICKERING / 18 / {arrow} / MALTON / 26 : : NORTH RIDING OF / {rose} / YORKSHIRE / WHITBY / UDC : : WHITBY / 3 / {arrow} : Maker:- : F MATTISON & Co / BEDALE : Milestone Society National ID: YN_PIWY18a.
