Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of SOUTH STAINLEY WITH CAYTON (HARROGATE District), Ripon Road, near Red Lion, by the road, on East side of road. Ingram iron casting, erected by the Harrogate, Hutton Moor & Ripon turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARROGATE / 6. / {pointing hand} / J INGRAM / MAKER / RIPON / 1922 : : LEEDS / 21. : : RIPON / 5. / {pointing hand} / J INGRAM / MAKER / RIPON / 1922 : Grade II listed.
