Metal plate attached to stone post by the A1214, in parish of IPSWICH (IPSWICH District), Woodbridge Road, by No. 325, St Margaret's Parish, by the road. Garrett face iron casting, erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : YARMOUTH / 53 / WOODBRIDGE / 6 : : IPSWICH / TO / LONDON / 70 : : St. MARG't / P. / COLCHESTER / 19 : Maker:- : J GARRETT. / IRON FOUNDER / ST MARGARET'S / IPSWICH / 1818 : Grade II listed.
