Carved stone post by the A33, in parish of SHERFIELD ON LODDON (BASINGSTOKE AND DEANE District), Sherfield Hall, deep in bushes over ditch, on West side of road. Reading half-round stone, erected by the Reading & Basingstoke turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : READING / 13 : : SOUTHAMPTON / 33 : : BASINGSTOKE / 3 : Grade II listed.
