Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of AMESBURY (SALISBURY District), Church Street; opposite No.41, built into and flush with churchyard wall, on North side of road. Amesbury stone, erected by the Amesbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- LXXVIII (FR)OM LONDON XIV (F)ROM ANDOVER Grade II listed.
