Carved stone post by the A417, in parish of MUCH COWARNE (District), Mitchell's Cottages; 70m South of Upper Mitchell's Cottages, on the verge below hedge, on East side of road. Ledbury stone, erected by the Leominster & Ledbury turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- TO LEDBURY 9 MILES. LEOMINSTER 13 MILES. Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: HF_LBLM09.
