Metal plate attached to stone post by the B1438, in parish of WOODBRIDGE (SUFFOLK COASTAL District), Woodbridge, Ipswich Road, at the foot of a large tree, North side of road. Cocksedge iron casting, erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : YARMOUTH / 47 / SAXMUNDHAM / 13 : : WOODBRIDGE / TO / LONDON / 76 : : IPSWICH / 7 / COLCHESTER / 25 : Maker:- : COCKSEDGE / IPSWICH : Milestone Society National ID: SU_LI76.
