Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of CHECKLEY (STAFFORDSHIRE MOORLANDS District), between Fole and Hollington, in hedge, on North side of road. Lathe iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : HOLLINGTON 1 / ROCESTER 4 / ASHBOURNE 12 : : CHECKLEY : : CHECKLEY 2 : Maker:- : Chas.
