Marshfield iron plate formerly by the A420, in parish of Castle Combe (North Wiltshire District), East of Ford, plate has been rescued from a waste tip (in private possession). Inscription reads:- : 4 MILES / TO / MARSHFIELD / 5 MILES / TO / CHIPPENHAM : To be surveyed (plate has been rescued) Grid Reference is approximate original location. Milestone Society National ID: WI_CPMF05L.
