Cast iron post by the A61, in parish of WAKEFIELD (WAKEFIELD District), 175m North of Woolley crossroads, in verge under bushes, next to stone wall, on East side of road. Erected by the Wakefield & Sheffield turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : BARNSLEY / 5 / MILES : : WAKEFIELD / 5 / MILES : Milestone Society National ID: YW_BNWK05.
