Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of WIGAN (WIGAN District), Golborne; opposite No. 32 Bridge Street, by the road, on East side of road. Erected by the Warrington & Wigan turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- GOLBORNE WARRINGTON 6 MILES WIGAN (6 MILES) Milestone Society National ID: LA_WGWA06.
