Carved stone post by the A682, in parish of NEWSHOLME (RIBBLE VALLEY District), a mile North of Gisburn, near stream on longish flat road, on East side of road. Erected by the Gisburne & Long Preston turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : To / Gisburn / 1 / Mile : : To / Settle / 10 / Miles : Carved benchmark on back and rivet on top.
