Carved stone post by the A6, in parish of MANCHESTER (MANCHESTER District), Ardwick Green, West of junction with A57, on pavement next to railings surrounding green park, on North side of road. Erected by the Wilmslow turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- 11 Miles t(o) Wilmflo(w) 184 Miles to London 1 Mile to (Manchester) Grade II listed.
