Metal plate attached to stone post by the A5, in parish of MONTFORD (SHREWSBURY AND ATCHAM District), 310m South East of Ensdon House, by the road, on South side of road. Telford gabled iron plate, erected by the Holyhead Road turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- HOLY- HEAD 101 - M SALOP (6 M-6 F) Grade II listed.
