Metal plates attached to stone post by the A2, in parish of GREENWICH (GREENWICH District), Shooters Hill Road, Blackheath, East of junction with Prince of Wales Road, North of South Row, in tarmac pavement, beside pedestrian crossing rails (rails now removed), on South side of road. New Cross marker, erected by the New Cross turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : LONDON / 6 / MILES : : DARTFORD / 9 / MILES : Carved benchmark on eastern side. Milestone Society National ID: KE_LD06.
