Carved stone post by the A683, in parish of CLAUGHTON (LANCASTER District), by The Lodge, 200m North East of elevated bucket-way to Claughton Manor Brickworks, on wide, well cut verge between road and a high wooden fence, on South side of road. Lancashire CC stone triangle, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : TO / LANCASTER / 7 MILES : : CLAUGHTON : : TO / HORNBY / 2 MILES / KY LONSDALE / 9½ MILES / INGLETON / 11 MILES : Grade II listed.
