Carved stone post by the A35, in parish of ASHURST AND COLBURY (NEW FOREST District), Hunter's Inn Hill; North of junction with Deerleap Lane, behind footpath in undergrowth, on South side of road. Erected by the Lymington, Lyndhurst & Rumbridge turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : SOU(THAMPTON 6) / (LYMINGTON 12) : Carved benchmark and rivet on top. Milestone Society National ID: HA_SOLH06.
