Cast iron post by the B1352, in parish of RAMSEY AND PARKESTON (TENDRING District), opposite Lord Nelson PH, by the road. Bendall iron casting, erected by the Essex Second District turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : HARWICH / 4 : : RAMSEY / TO / LONDON / 68 : : COLCHESTER / 17 : Maker:- : BENDALL / IRON AND BRASS / FOUNDERS / PLOUGH AND MACHINE / MAKER / LAWFORD / ESSEX /1834 : Essex HER listed.
