Carved stone post by the B181, in parish of NORTH WEALD BASSETT (EPPING FOREST District), High Road, junction with Park Close, on wide grass verge, on South side of road. Erected by the Epping & Ongar turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : EPPING / 2 : : LONDON / 18 : : ONGAR / 5 : Essex HER listed.
