Metal plate attached to stone post by the B5068, in parish of ELLESMERE RURAL (NORTH SHROPSHIRE District), Pentre Madoc, by the road. Erected by the Wem to Bron y Garth turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- To M Ellesmere 4 Carved bench mark on face below plate. Grade II listed.
