Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of WALLINGTON DEMESNE (CASTLE MORPETH District), opposite Barn Flat, near the Wallington Gardens, on grass verge, on South side of road. Cambo stone, erected by the Ponteland turnpike trust in the 18th century. Inscription reads:- : To / NEW / CASTLE / 19 / Miles. : : To / CAMBO / 1 / Mile. : Grade II listed.
