Carved stone post by the A30, in parish of FIRSDOWN (SALISBURY District), Firsdown; 250m East of entrance to Paddock Farm House and bus stop, on the verge, on South side of road. Sarum triangle, erected by the Sarum & Eling turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : To / SARU(M) / 4 / MILES : : To / LONDON / 78 / MILES : Carved benchmark and rivet on top.
