Metal plate attached to stone post by the A628, in parish of ACKWORTH (WAKEFIELD District), Pontefract Road, High Ackworth, opposite Nos. 66 to 70, on very narrow verge at entrance to James Lamprey Nursery, on West side of road. Barn/Pont Grove iron casting, erected by the County Council in the 19th/20th century. Inscription reads:- : PONT / 3 : : BARNSLEY & PONTEFRACT ROAD / ACKWORTH : : BARN / 11 : Grade II listed.
