Cast iron post by the UC road, in parish of MARTLESHAM (SUFFOLK COASTAL District), South of Red Lion PH, on the verge, back to brick wall, West side of road. Ipswich iron casting (replacement), originally erected by the Ipswich to South Town, & Darsham to Bungay turnpike trust in the 20th century. Inscription reads:- : YARMOUTH / 48 / WOODBRIDGE / 1 : : MARTLESHAM / TO / LONDON / 75 : : IPSWICH / 6 / COLCHESTER / 24 : Milestone Society National ID: SU_LI75R.
