The milestone is located just north of the junction with The Willows on the pavement against the stone wall, on the south side of the road. Parish of Balderstone (Ribble Valley District). Carved stone post, Whalley stone design, erected by the Clitheroe to Blackburn & Mellor Brook turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- 6¾ / MILES / TO / WHALLEY / {line} / BALDERSTONE : : 7 / MILES / TO / PRESTON / {line} / BALDERSTONE Milestone Society National ID: LA_PSCL07
