Cast iron post by the B6346, in parish of EGLINGHAM (ALNWICK District), Ferny Lea, by No.2, 280m East of Eglingham Bridge, on grass verge below large tree on bank, on North side of road. Patterson twin ovals iron post, erected by the Alnwick to Eglingham turnpike trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- : ALNWICK / 7 / MILES : : CHATTON / 7¾ / MILES : Grade II listed.
