The weighbridge platform shown in Image has this manufacturer's inscription. Ashworth Son and Co. Ltd, Dewsbury, Smethwick. The company made weighing devices for railway use and eventually became part of Avery. The position on the side of Station Street would have been adjacent to the old railway sidings.
