In the Lower Square conservation area, Northumberland House is a survivor from Isleworth's ultra fashionable period in Georgian times when many such mansions were built in the town. The Dukes of Northumberland were important members of Isleworth society, residing at nearby Syon House. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isleworth
