Part of the huge shipyard where the UK's nuclear submarines are built. It is possible that the brick building on the left is the former engine drawing office while the black shed in the distance might be about where the coppersmiths' shop was in the Dreadnought era shipyard. The big building at the extreme right is the Devonshire Dock Hall where submarines are assembled prior to roll out and lowering on the ship lift. Also on the extreme right one can just about see HMS Audacious being commissioned. The wind was eye-wateringly strong and so distracting I nearly failed to spot the submarine. This is a view most definitely from a public place.
