Metal plate attached to stone post by the UC road (was A419), in parish of Eastington (Stroud District), Westend House, Grove Lane, on the verge, on South-West side of road. Stroud iron plate, erected by the Cainscross (Division) Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. Inscription reads:- TO STROUD 5 MILES Grade II listed.
