This photo was taken from where the footpath comes through the hedge. The Hotel derives its name from the Norman Knight, Sir John de Chichester, who first occupied Chichester Hall, the 13th century moated farmhouse, which is still inhabited today. The Hotel website http://www.chichester-hotel.co.uk
