The Mostyn family have had a significant impact on the town of Llandudno. On this site they built the first library in 1873 but this picture depicts the second library, once again built by the Mostyn family. It was completed in 1910 and benefited from a grant of £4,000 from the philanthropist Andrew Carnegie. The library was extended in 1939 and 1994 and has an extensive local history archive.
