Carved stone post by the UC road, in parish of West Dean (Forest of Dean District), near old school house, in wall, on South side of road. Passage stone erected by the Forest of Dean Turnpike Trust in the 19th century. The defaced inscription once read:- (Coleford 4) (Purton Passage 5) Carved benchmark on lower front. Milestone Society National ID: GL_COPU04.
