Opened in 1886 by the Birkenhead Joint Railway (part of both the Great Western Railway and London & North Western Railway) as the terminus of the line from Hooton, this station closed to passengers in 1956 and completely in 1962. View south east towards Kirby Park and Hooton along the platform site. The distant trees in the centre mark the start of a footpath along the old railway formation.
