As seen from the junction with the Derry Road. The OS map in the early 1900's shows this road as being named as "Cottage Road" at this end. The ropeworks stood on the area of the Good Evening Restaurant near the Brookmount Road. The locals nickname for the Brookmount Road was "The Ropewalk".
