At one time clean, quiet, smell free trolley buses were a common sight in many British towns and cities as can be seen in old photographs showing this type of heavy duty wiring hanging over the streets. I suppose that was a bit of a drawback, but other places around the world seem to deal with it without too much bother. Are there any trolley buses still running in this country? A short section of wiring is here in the parking lot at the back of Bradford Industrial Museum. They have a preserved Bradford trolley bus inside. Maybe they bring it out here sometimes.
