Devonshire Dock Hall

This is BAE Systems's main submarine assembly hall. BAE systems is currently working on the final three vessels (Anson, Agamemnon, Agincourt) of the Astute Class SSN (hunter/killers) and the first of the Dreadnought Class SSBNs (Dreadnought). The fourth Astute (Audacious) was seen in the water of the Devonshire Dock and is being commissioned. The Devonshire Dock Hall is immense - over 250 m long, almost 60 m wide and 17 storeys high. The building not only provides a controlled protective working environment it prevents satellites from obtaining sensitive images.
