Undoubtedly one of the best known buildings in the area, Quay West is a large, distinctive shiny office block opposite the Lowry Bridge and the Lowry Arts Centre. When first built, it was regarded as an icon of Salford Quays although, being on the opposite bank of the Manchester Ship Canal, it is actually in Trafford!
