The largest of the Georgian houses clustered around the Abbey. Three storeys and, unusually, six bays wide, the problem of symmetry resolved by a double-width doorcase. It was built for Thomas Jenkins, sheriff of Shropshire, in 1730, although whether he ever had the pleasure of enjoying the house is doubtful as he died that year. The bay window is early C19th. The house stands behind fine iron gates (Image]). Grade II* listed. Now offices of Terry Jones Solicitors.
