Built as the Royal Salop Infirmary by Edward Haycock, 1827-30. The Greek Doric portico is fine even if it does look rather overwhelmed by its surroundings. As usual, the material is Grinshill stone. Grade II listed. Much altered in 1980-83 when it was converted to shops and flats - it now houses the Parade Shopping Centre.
