The bridge carries a single track railway line over the A472 Nelson Road. The line was formerly used for passenger services, which ceased in 1964. It is now shown on maps as Mineral Railway. The Network Rail bridge identifier https://www.geograph.org.uk/photo/5992005 is Nelson Road PTA 13 77.75
