The Islandmoyle Road cuts through a drumlin landscape. In the background are hills composed of rocks of the Newry Igneous Complex dating back some 400 million years. The drumlins on the other hand are only a few thousand years old. http://earthwise.bgs.ac.uk/index.php/Newry_Igneous_Complex,_Late_Palaeozoic_intrusives,_Northern_Ireland
