No 15 is a 19th century rebuild of an older house, and was the birthplace in 1823 of a tea clipper Captain John Smith. His ships were Lahloo and Min, and he died with all hands in 1874 when one of the ships went down off the Hebrides. The house was Category C listed https://britishlistedbuildings.co.uk/200380898-15-east-green-anstruther-easter-east-neuk-and-landward-ward#.W_mvI9SLTGg in 1972.
